| Founded in 1792 SALOMON UNDHOF is a wine estate with grand tradition. The Wachau family Salomon produces white wines from the best terraced Stein and Krems sites along the Danube river. Their great vineyard locations and meticulous work in the vineyards are prerequisites for their elegant wines. All the grapes are harvested traditionally by hand only. Grüner Veltliner and Riesling of the estate distinguish themselves through elegance and finesse. Wholesome wines with longevity are the result which SALOMON UNDHOF is famous for. Fifty percent of the production goes into export, the USA, the EU and Australia being the principal markets.
Today Bertold and Gertrud Salomon run the innovative and traditional winery after Erich´s retirement.
