| Franz Hirtzberger, one of the best and most well-known wine-growers in Wachau, lives in one of the oldest wine estates in the region. The representative of the regional protective association "Vinea Wachau" has always been a perfectionist, a fact reflected in his numerous top-quality wines. It is not only his famous Steinfedern which embodies fruit and the charms of Wachau. The Smaragdrieslinge, which are difficult to obtain as they are always fully reserved long before they are available, also leave nothing to be desired.
Most important awards: numerous 1st place rankings and other top placings at national and international competitions run by specialist magazines, 96 points for the Singerriedel 1994 in the "Wine Advocate". |
