The tradition of the Valduga family starts in 1875 when three brothers left Italy to settle in the mountain range of Rio Grande do Sul, a place conducive for growing wine grapes. They started to plant the first grapes and their descendants have kept up with the tradition. Thanks to their strong dedication and hard work, today the quality of their wine is one of the best in the country.
Casa Valduga, as a company, was set up in May 1973, after four generations of “preparing the soil”. Since then, the company has been on the leading edge with investments in technology, advanced techniques, modern equipment, and creatively finding ways to supply new market niches through the production of first-class wines and sparkling wines, as well as of juices, jams, vinegar, and liqueurs.
Different countries worldwide such as France, Belgium, Slovenia, Turkey, Argentina, and Spain have recognized their work by awarding them with honors of quality and taste.
In 1992, Casa Valduga took another innovative step into the Restaurant and Hotel sextor by inaugurating the 1st Brazilian AGROVINICULTURE COMPLEX. This unique and creative experience blends the joys of a bread & breakfast type inn with savory dinners that can be enjoyed at the Dom Luigi restaurant, all in a pastoral surrounding. |
