| Josef Kittinger, the grandfather of the current owner, started this winery back in 1900 to take care of his family. His son Leopold then started selling bottles in 1954, and lay out new vineyards, The head of the cellar has been Johannes Kittinger since 1983, who graduated from the viticultural school in Krems. He has led the business - with his brother-in-law Erich Jedenastik since 1996- as a side-business rather than a family-business. |
