| The owners of this wine estate place much importance on cultivating the vineyards as ecologically as possible. Among other things this includes minimizing the use of chemical methods of plant protection. Since 1984 around a quarter of the total area of the vineyards has been covered with a straw mulch and the rest with a rye-vetch mixture and the two are rotated annually. Since 1996 there has been experimental green coverering in every alternate row. No commercial fertilizers have been used since 1984. |
