| The Freien Weingärtner Wachau utilize and distribute wines from their members' grape crops. The date of the harvest is determined according to qualitative factors. Particularly well-known and equally populr are the Veltliner from the Weißkirchner Achleiten and from the Dürnsteiner Kellerberg as well as the Rieslinge from the Dürnsteiner Kellerberg and the Riesling Smaragd from the Tausendeimerberg, to name but a few. The Freien Weingärtner Wachau were named 'Wine firm of the year' in 1995 by the Swedish 'Gourmet' magazine. |
